Denbigh, Pints and Politics 7pm - 9pm
Unfortunately cancelled due to Covid regulations

Join the Bexhill Lib Dems in the Denbigh pub in Bexhill, on the third Wednesday of every month, for 'Pint & Politics' -- informal discussions on politics and current affairs. All welcome, even non-members. This is a relaxed opportunity to meet your local party and find out how you can get involved, or just chat over a pint, or a cup of tea. The food is good at the Denbigh too. We usually meet in the back room of the pub, but the Denbigh has a great beer garden.
Please do to support the Denbigh by ordering their takeawy meals, they have been very hospitable to us.

Saturday 27th February 2021 Music Quiz starting at 8pm

An evening of fun, music, and a tiny bit of brain work just for £10 a head.
Dear Fellow Liberal Democrats and friends,
On Saturday 27th February, at 8pm Rob Clutterham, our new treasurer, and I invite you to a Music Quiz to keep those little grey cells working and for you to have some fun via zoom during lockdown and to raise some funds for the forth coming elections.
We will have 8 topics with 5 questions in each, the answers will either be an A, B or C or, you write down the name of the tune. After you have heard the question and the music, you will be given a minute to think of the answer and when time is up, you will show your A, B, or C to your camera, or the written down name of the tune, to the camera. This will be a great way to use up old envelopes and the backs of computer print- outs. I will write down who has answered what and then Rob will supply the answer. Hopefully by the end of the evening, you will be humming, smiling and have learnt some musical trivia. In the event of a tie there will be a head to head tie breaker contest. Gosh, exciting or what, yes CoVid has addled my brain, and I do not want to hear mutters of what brain please.
There will be a short break in the middle for you to refresh your glasses or your mugs.
The winning household will receive £25.

Friday 5th March Wine tasting starting at 7pm
We have a member of the Balfour Hush Heath team joining us on Zoom on Friday 5th March at 7pm.
He/She will tell us about Balfour H.H. and how they started, then take us through 4 of their wines, 2 white, Liberty's Bacchus 2019 and Skye's Chardonnay 2019, 1 rose, Nannette's Rose 2019 and 1 red, The Suitcase 2018. We will then have the opportunity to ask questions about the wines and English Wine. After the speaker has left us, we will have more fun tasting various cheeses known to go well with our 4 bottles. I will send a list of the cheeses, so that you can get them in.
Many of you know that English wine does cost far more than their French equivalent, or the southern hemisphere wines, so the package of wine, delivery and speaker will cost £81. Balfour H.H. has given us a £10 discount on the wine. If you have other people in your bubble, there is nothing to stop you inviting them over to join you to share the cost. Due to the cost I have not included any fund raising element, I just hope that if you have had a good evening, you might like to send a donation to our treasurer Rob Clutterham.
